Wednesday Fun

Not sure where to start - except to read Egg's blog - but after being sick for weeks, feeling like crap - Goose and I decided to mentally show up for the ride tonight. Egg let me decide - Hillacious baby :) I love that DVD - I can't ride the real rollers, but I can ride the rollers on the DVD. Everyone was here to ride and put the hammer down tonight. Chains were flying off all the bikes tonight. Fun ride - good company for dinner.
Sorry Big Tim and T-Bold couldn't show - you missed a really good ride tonight!
Sights are on Jan 1 - time to show what you really have for 2010 - everyone has bragged that 2010 will be their year - Jan 1 is the day to show what ya got - Well unless it it warm and then you ride outside for the 100!

Sunday

Good ride on trainers today for the N & G team. Goose could have ridden outside with Egg and company, but elected to stay in and ride with me :). He ran after 6 miles after the 75 minute ride. Hard to stay focused today - this makes the 5th day in a row for me - trying to get back into the groove of things.

Friday/Saturday

It was just Goose and I on Friday - did a recovery ride of Aerobase Builder with Coach Troy - not an easy ride - only 15 seconds between his sections. Saturday - Goose got int he water for some therapy before he spent the afternoon cutting wood. After an entire day of shopping (looking really) I rode my favorite - Hillacious.

Egg called and said his plans had changed - but Goose and I have plans to ride inside - with a viewing afterwards. Wish Goose could ride outside with Egg and Big Tim, but I REALLY need the motivation at this point. After all - I gotta hang tough on New Year's Day and complete the 6 hours plus cooking!!!

Egglien for Slackers

We haven't blog in awhile - nobody wants to read about us being sick or our dog, and that has pretty much been our life the last few weeks.

Tonight Egg came up to kick our slacker asses into gear. All I can say is you will probably need to read his blog for the details. Goose and Noose realized how much they lost in such a little time. Usually we will trash talk back and forth between the 3 of us - nope didn't happen tonight - Egg was the only one talking. We were searching for the lung capacity just to get through.

We did and it was a great ride - Thanks Egg. Looking forward to our own little hell on Jan 1 :)

Yes Everyone is NUTZ

I think everyone proved tonight that yes they are nutz :) Had the first 1st Annual Big Tim's Nightcrawler TT tonight. The sky was beautiful, the stars were so bright and and filled the sky. It was dark, windy, cold - and they rode a new time trial route. Nutz - but damn that was fun! Not many would understand this as being fun - guess you just got to get it and be there.

After we were treated to Classic by Big Tim - THANKS! Much appreciated. Got to see the elevation maps of his ride in CA - awesome.

Who knows what somebody will think up next (haaaahaaaaahaaaa)

Crankenstein In the Books

Wow - chilly - windy - sunshine day at Miami East for the Time Trial. Mad Cows had an awesome day. Rhino's Team won overall Male/Male Master. Egg's individual time was faster than Rhino's and the rest? Don't know - need to see the official results to see how they did. Goose knocked off approximately 4+ minutes off his last year's time. I thought you got slower when you get older! Really proud of Goose, he has really put his heart into the bike this year.

Fun time after they finished, a little home cooking on the tailgate, lots of laughs and stories told. I have lots of pictures but I need to sort through them.

What a day - I think I rode for a couple of guys today - my legs hurt and I just stood there taking pictures!

Crankenstein Pre Ride

This is the last week from Crankenstein, which called for another day of riding those roads. Goose got to sleep in this morning - I stayed up late tracking Coudron and Chaney on their Hawaii Ironman.

Goose and I were actually the FIRST ones at the school this afternoon! Usually Goose is running late, but not today. I don't don't either one of felt particularly good, but knew it had to be done. Big Tim is still trying to recover from a bad cold, and well, Egg is Egg :) No ride is ever a bad ride! After small talk they headed out for their 2 loops. I waited about 5 minutes and head out. A "small" head wind on 589 (but then a tail wind on the return trip). Egg worked the guys hard and I think he knows everyone is ready for next Sunday. Should be fun (and interesting).

I was able to pass some guys riding (slow) and one commented that a woman passed them. I wasn't sure what I was suppose to say, so I said nothing.

Looking forward to this week (indoor for me) and Goose riding Mon and Wed.
