7:30 Call

When my cell rang at 7:30 last night, I answered with "You got dropped". Yep he did. Goose wasn't disappointed. He hung on for a while, thanks to everyone slowing down to let him back on. He said the second time he knew he was done. Rode back to the truck and ran a couple of miles at a great pace. He said the transition was good. That is what he needs to start doing - bricks. I am not looking forward to them - makes for a really long training day for him. Oh well - September is just around the corner and that is what he has planned all his training around - Championships.

Weekend

Goose had a great training weekend. Worked saturday then he ran and rode. Sunday - rode and ran and then spent 6 hours at a family get together (yes beer included thanks to a cousin's husband).

He talked to Shawn and he can't do the Lake Loramie race Sept 10 - company sending him out of the country again - I bet Amy will be glad when this is over! So Goose is calling around to find a partner.

He woke up Monday and had swelling in his hand (mainly a finger) --- first thing you think of is the staph infection (yes Vince we have to mention it again - hehe). Saw the Dr this morning - probably not directly connected but put him back on antibiotics again.

I think he plans on riding with the Cows on Wed evening - will be a good training ride for the Duathlon Championships.

Is this season over yet?

Double Smile Weekend

Goose ran at the falls on Saturday - approx 8 miles with very little pain - YEAH. Saw Crilli's mom and dad at Mass on Sunday and then met up with the Cows to ride. He actually won a sign (Thanks Egg) Life is so much easier when the Goose has good training days. He has decided to race this next Sunday to see where he is on training. The "big" race is end of September. He needs to decide soon if he wants to do it before registration closes.

Idea for Goose

This is a great idea - that way Goose can ride and sorta run at the same time!
