Another Two Days

Awesome - that is how I describe the last couple of days of trainers. Tuesday was Suffer-O-Rama - and Oh we did. It was fun to shake things up - didn't know what was up - wasn't sure where to reserve the energy - that made it fun :)

Today - Wed - Goose ran with Red Dog and Egg was coming early for us to get warmed up. They showed up and Egg and I had just started on the trainers - Goose and Red Dog jumped on for an cool warm up - once again to old Tour footage. Then it was down to business - my turn - which meant Hillacious. Egg decided to shake it up and little - during the 8 minute LONG hill climb, he decided about the 4 minute to stand for 1 then seated for one. That was OK - the next one he wanted to stand for 2 minutes - I wasn't too keen on that - but he dared me through it.

Goose showed up for the entire ride mentally. It was fun. They guys sat around and BS'd which I got my cat 5 tattoo off (again). Ate a late lunch/early dinner. Funny remarks made-lots of laughs shared. Everyone is gone - Goose is building me a fire and time to chill.

Looking forward to an early dinner tomorrow and see Last Call for the first time. Mad Cow is joining us to watch Egg. Long ride on tap for Jan 1 - 6 hours - will need lots of coaching to get through that one.

Time To Work Off the Christmas Calories

Egg was in the house today. I had tweeted him earlier to see what torture he was going to inflict on us - only to be corrected - it is FUNDICATION not torture. We warmed up to Tour footage with Lance - that is enough to motivate anybody. After 45 minutes it was time to begin the fun. They let me select last Wed so it was Egg's turn - NO SLACKERS baby :) Everybody was game on today. Egg knows when Goose and I start to get tired, he always knows how to motivate to keep us going. It was definitely a good ride today.

We headed out to Classic - only to discover they weren't open yet. We would have to wait for about 45 minutes (damn, we could have ridden for 45 minutes). So, we opted for Applebee's. Talked about New Year's Eve and Day. Looks like we (err - they) might do 100 outdoors (looks like weather will be good) and start the New Year's indoor with Hardcore 100. Now that sound like real fun!

How bad do ya' want it? Personal challenge and positive attitude is all you need.

Noose's Take On Tough Love

Egg showed up ready to roll - that was obvious :) Goose and I were fairly quiet - I honestly had forgotten what this DVD contained - I knew there was a "little" standing, which is my biggest downfall. Getting started, they was very little chatter better us - Egg was trying to keep things light - and he did a great job.

After the typical warm up it was time to get down to business. Oh Lord - it all came back to me - seated one minute - standing one minute. I counted slowly to myself, thinking if I could make it to 30 seconds and had to sit, that would be good. I was able to stay standing, thanks to Egg and Goose talking me through it.

Second set - shit - it was the same thing - seated 1 minute - standing 1 minute. Then I remember more - last year I didn't really stand - I stayed seated most of the time. This year - with DB A DB talk going on - I was not going to sit down unless I was dead (well, that was the idea anyway).

Egg got me on one set - he said no standing - Oh wait Coach Troy made the DVD - now it is time to stand again (yuck). I had to stop pedaling a couple of times - but I didn't sit down. One time I refused to stand - one time I sat the first 30 seconds and stood the last 30.

In the end - that was one hell of a ride. 3 hours of getting rid of demons (for Noose) - Goose rode better than he ever had before - Egg? He lost his chain. He talked us through the entire 3 hours - sometimes Goose and I could just nod at him. He didn't give up on us - Thanks!! The time went by really fast - after we had vittles and drinks. Once again, lots of laughs, plans for the future and no regrets for the past.

Thanks Goose and Egg - I couldn't have ridden the way I did without out your cheering me on.

Looking forward to January 1st - time for all of us to show up - get done - or shut up!

Tough Love

What a day! I rode with two awesome guys for 3 hours. They motivated me - gave me kudos when I probably didn't deserve them - But Damn We had Fun!

I will post my take on the ride on Monday - Tonight - it is chillin' time :)

In Advance

I am blogging in advance - Sunday will probably not be fun for anyone but Egg - he always has fun when he is killing Goose and Noose!

No Slackers - Take 2

Egg was coming up to ride Friday night - silly guy had already ridden outside during the day - his EFB route. When he got here, he asked what was up for tonight. Even though it is only 45 minutes - I chose No Slackers. The first time (10 days ago) it had kicked Goose and my butt. Needed to get revenge - needed to do it with a little more authority.

Everybody was ready to roll - Egg as peppy as ever, Goose - you could tell he had a busy/long day. I was just looking forward to getting it over. I knew what was near the end - Prologue and Super Spins. Egg was able to motivate for the entire 45 minutes. When I wanted to sit down - he knew and kept telling to keep going. He know Goose was struggling and cheered him on. I figured what didn't kill us ---- has to make us stronger (I hope cause I'm still alive this morning). Egg and Goose really put it down on the super spins. Numbers they were putting out was very impressive. I just tried to hang on.

After, as always we shared laughs and rut beer for Egg and PoPo juice for us :)

Looking forward to Sunday - Tough Love - got to get ready for New Year's Day - Hardcore 100 (either inside - or out if weather permits)

BTW - Big Time - Goose doesn't look good in yellow - he only wears red and black (hehehe)

Wednesday Fun

Not sure where to start - except to read Egg's blog - but after being sick for weeks, feeling like crap - Goose and I decided to mentally show up for the ride tonight. Egg let me decide - Hillacious baby :) I love that DVD - I can't ride the real rollers, but I can ride the rollers on the DVD. Everyone was here to ride and put the hammer down tonight. Chains were flying off all the bikes tonight. Fun ride - good company for dinner.
Sorry Big Tim and T-Bold couldn't show - you missed a really good ride tonight!
Sights are on Jan 1 - time to show what you really have for 2010 - everyone has bragged that 2010 will be their year - Jan 1 is the day to show what ya got - Well unless it it warm and then you ride outside for the 100!

Sunday

Good ride on trainers today for the N & G team. Goose could have ridden outside with Egg and company, but elected to stay in and ride with me :). He ran after 6 miles after the 75 minute ride. Hard to stay focused today - this makes the 5th day in a row for me - trying to get back into the groove of things.

Friday/Saturday

It was just Goose and I on Friday - did a recovery ride of Aerobase Builder with Coach Troy - not an easy ride - only 15 seconds between his sections. Saturday - Goose got int he water for some therapy before he spent the afternoon cutting wood. After an entire day of shopping (looking really) I rode my favorite - Hillacious.

Egg called and said his plans had changed - but Goose and I have plans to ride inside - with a viewing afterwards. Wish Goose could ride outside with Egg and Big Tim, but I REALLY need the motivation at this point. After all - I gotta hang tough on New Year's Day and complete the 6 hours plus cooking!!!

Egglien for Slackers

We haven't blog in awhile - nobody wants to read about us being sick or our dog, and that has pretty much been our life the last few weeks.

Tonight Egg came up to kick our slacker asses into gear. All I can say is you will probably need to read his blog for the details. Goose and Noose realized how much they lost in such a little time. Usually we will trash talk back and forth between the 3 of us - nope didn't happen tonight - Egg was the only one talking. We were searching for the lung capacity just to get through.

We did and it was a great ride - Thanks Egg. Looking forward to our own little hell on Jan 1 :)
